It is often the hardest decision a parent could make to send their offspring to one of the many summer boot camps. Teens who become far too difficult to deal with at home and when expert advice and support is needed, a camp can be the best place. For some teens however it doesn’t help at all, and may even worsen the situation. It’s important to understand what boot camps are, and when boot camps are necessary.
What are boot camps? Teens who fall into the above category are for whom boot camps were originally intended. They were seen as a place to send terrible teens off to sort out their problems so that when they came home, they’d be less trouble. Boot camps as the name suggests were based initially on military-training schools that were designed to train teenagers to respect and make something of their life, thus avoiding a life of crime. That is why most people will think of an old and very tall man bellowing at the top his lungs for them to do as their told.
